The service department has been taking excellent care of my cars since I've move to Knoxville in 2007. In fact, just purchased my second car from them. Knowing how well the service department works made it an easy decision to buy my car there.
My 2016 Corvette Z06 (6,000 miles) had been experiencing an abrupt shift from 1st gear to 2nd upon first drive in the morning. In addition it developed a 'shutter' out on the highway when transitioning from V4 to V8 along with the transmission 'searching' for lock-up (100 RPM variation) indicating a torque converter problem. The Service Manager suggested a 'Triple Flush' as a possible fix to try before a complete torque converter change-out as last resort.
The technician took my car for a drive to confirm the problem and then did the 'triple flush' the next day.
On my drive home I didn't feel that much had changed and called the Service Manager my disappointment and to schedule a torque converter replacement. This was scheduled for a few days later and meanwhile I took my Z06 on a long drive and to my total surprise it appeared that it got better mile after mile. I read on the Corvette Forum than one should drive at least 200 miles after the triple flush to determine its success or not.
Since my car was so much better I called the Service Manager and cancelled the torque converter replacement. He couldn't have been more helpful, understanding and supportive with this situation and the technician obviously did an excellent job with the check-out and flush. The five stars I gave Reeder was certainly earned.
Great service. I had a very important meeting to go to and they got me a rental car that I did not ask for so I could make it to my meeting. This reassured me that I was doing business with the right people.
Larry is the best person we have ever had the pleasure to work with! From the time we got there until we left, he was awesome. The genuineness of Larry is what sets him apart from any other salesperson we have dealt with. We will definitely be repeat customers and recommend Reeder Chevrolet to our family and friends!!!
Oil change @ 500 miles as required. Arrived on time for appointment. One car ahead of me to finish - a friends corvette. We watched his and then mine. Service Tech showed us a great tool he had to remove filters. Service was very professional AND FRIENDLY!
The dealer is not very good at using social media. I receive lots of emails asking me to click the link and schedule my service appointment which I did however when I arrived they had no record of my scheduled appointment. Therefore it took more of my time. They also continue to put the sticker for service in 5k miles when the owners manual specifies 7.5k.
